You have surely heard about the amazing health benefits of the Himalayan salt before, but this ancient salt type is much more powerful than you imagined!
It is mined from the Himalayan mountains in Nepal, Myanmar, China, and India. The crystallized salt beds Himalayas were covered by lava two millions of years ago, so the salt remained fresh and clean from any irritants.
Actually, it is the purest sea salt form, and offers amazing medicinal properties, due to the numerous important minerals it contains. These minerals work in synergy with the sodium and treat and prevent various health issues and ailments.
Here are the most important things you need to know about this salt:
The Himalayan pink sea salt is a rich source of over 80 important minerals, like magnesium, strontium, bromide, potassium, sulfate, borate, fluoride, and bicarbonate.
Therefore, it strengthens the bones, hydrates the body, regulates the electrolyte, fluid and pH balance, accelerates the metabolism, boosts circulation, prevents muscle cramps, boosts the libido, decelerates aging, and cleanses the body from chemicals, toxins, and heavy metals.
This salt comes from the salty water body, but it is the purest its form. Himalayan salt contains naturally occurring iodine, and even though it contains the same components as sea salt, its crystal structure makes it lower in sodium.
On the other hand, table salt is processed and stripped of almost all the minerals it contains, chemically bleached, and exposed to high temperatures which destroy its structure. It cannot be dissolved in the body just like it cannot dissolve in food, and the iodine it contains has been artificially added.
Himalayan salt can be added to your meals, and you can enjoy the delicious and healthy vegetable, fish and meat dishes. However, despite cooking, you can use this salt for:
If you add a bit of this salt in your bath and soak in it for some time, you will optimize the mineral levels in the body, detoxify the system, and soothe muscle pain.
